    We provide medical social services, spiritual counseling train volunteers, on-call services around the clock (24/7), inpatient and respite care, and bereavement services. You are not alone!

Who Pays for Hospice

Hospice care is fully covered by Medicare, HMO, PPO plans and is unlimited in length. Hospice is also covered by many insurances and most plans cover hospice care, medication, supplies and equipment related to a hospice diagnosis (if your insurance company does not cover hospice services, we can advocate on your behalf and negotiate with them with your permission).

How Can Hospice Best Serve Your Needs

  • An early referral and early election of services will increase access to hospice care and give patient and family the maximum amount of benefit.
  • Research all healthcare option and weigh the pros and cons of each choice early. Speak with your physician or other healthcare provider. Feel confident in your choice.
  • Complete an advance directive and make sure that your family and caregivers are informed about your choice and your wishers.
  • Communicate your need and expectations to the hospice team and your family and caregivers.
